Volunteer with MYS
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION FORM The following descriptions will assist you in deciding how to help this season. Please review these volunteer opportunities and choose those which best suit your interests and skills. We ask that all parents of current MYS students fill out a volunteer registration form - if you didn't send one in with this year's registration and medical forms, please take a moment now to download the form and fill it out. Thanks! HALL MONITOR One of the most important volunteer opportunities. Being a Hall Monitor means that you are a presence in the Beaumont Middle School halls to provide safety and keep an eye on things during rehearsals. For your child's protection, we maintain a closed campus during rehearsals at Beaumont; therefore, all non-MYS participants are kindly excused from the building. Parents, friends and relatives of MYS students may obtain a MYS badge for access to the campus. Examples of those who might need a reminder of our policy would be skateboarders, sports players and the occasional Beaumont student trying to gain access to their locker. Three shifts ar available: 10:00-12:00, 12:00-1:30, and 1:30-3:30. Being a hall monitor is a great way to become involved, get to know the musicians and meet other parents. PIZZA SERVER
Each Saturday, MYS sells Pizzicato pizza, snacks and bottled water. Two shifts are available: 11:00-12:30 and 12:15-1:45. When Shakespeare said music is "the food of life," he forgot to mention that pizza is the food of musicians! If you wish to sign up for either of these positions, please email the office or sign up in the volunteer notebook at the info table on Saturdays.
