Metropolitan Youth Symphony Rehearsal Schedule

Rehearsals take place on Saturdays at Beaumont Middle School ( 4043 NE Fremont St, Portland, Oregon 97212 map ). There are some exceptions to the normal Saturday schedules so refer to the calendar and the announcements for up-to-date information.

Rehearsal Rules

The conductors have several requirements for rehearsals:

1. Musicians should arrive at least 10 minutes before the rehearsal start time. The conductor expects to start playing music at the specified rehearsal start time. Therefore, the musicians must arrive early enough to setup and be ready at the specified time.
2. Musicians must bring their own music stand with their name on it.
3. Musicians are responsible for bringing their music to every rehearsal. Musicians will be charged $5 for each original piece of music that is not returned to MYS.
4. If you have an emergency on Saturday, call the MYS cell phone 503-708-7410. Not for absences.
