2009 / 2010 Season

Please note that tuition is due by the first rehearsal, September 19, 2009.

Each MYS student must have an MYS T-shirt and an MYS ID tag. These are required to be worn at each rehearsal. If you already have a T-shirt and ID tag from a previous season, then you do not need to purchase them. If you need a T-shirt, the fee is $10. ID tags are $5 each and will begin processing them on September 19, 2009.

Tuxedo Rental for the season is $60.
This fee covers the rental of a tuxedo available through MYS for the entire season. Tuxedo fittings typically take place at two rehearsals during October.


Payment:
Base Tuition + Any Extra Ensemble Payment(s) + Shirt & ID (if applicable) must be paid in full by the first rehearsal, September 19, 2009. Payments are non-refundable.

Payment is accepted via: Check, Cash, Visa/Mastercard.

A two payment plan is available, but must be arranged before the first rehearsal. Please call the MYS office at 503-239-4566 to learn more.

If payment is not received in full by the first rehearsal, or arrangements made, a student will not be permitted to participate in rehearsal.

Financial Aid:
A limited amount of need-based financial assistance is available. Applications for assistance must be completed in full (applications will be available on August 3rd, 2009) and submitted by September 1st in order to be considered. Most applicants will be notified by September 7th as to what assistance might be available for them.

Though Jazz I and Jazz II auditions are not until September 12th, the September 1st aid deadline still
applies. These students will be notified by September 15th as to what assistance might be available for them.

Commitment Deadline:
Though all eligible musicians are offered a place in an MYS ensemble, it is important that we know for sure if a student will be joining us (and in which group(s) they want to participate.) As such, a new Commitment Deadline has been established. For all students (except Jazz I and Jazz II) this deadline is September 10th. For the aforementioned exclusions, the Commitment Deadline is September 16th.
