Tuition is due by the first rehearsal, September 18, 2010.
The first musician in a family pays the full tuition fee for their group; additional musicians in the same family
pay a discounted rate.

Each MYS student must wear an MYS T-shirt and an MYS ID tag to every rehearsal. T-shirts can be ordered from the MYS online store and picked up at rehearsal; you can also order shirts at rehearsal. The basic shirt is $10, but there are several styles available and prices vary - please see order form. Photo ID tags cost $5 and made at Beaumont school on Saturdays. Returning students may use shirts and ID tags from previous seasons.
Tuxedo Rental for the season is $60.
This fee covers the rental of a tuxedo available through MYS for the entire season. Tuxedo fittings typically take place at rehearsals during October. Groups that wear tuxedoes are: Symphony, Symphonic Band, Vivaldi Strings, Flute Choir & Troupe, Jazz Orchestras. You may rent or buy your own tuxedo if you wish.
Payment
Tuition must be paid in full by the first rehearsal, September 18, 2010.
You may pay by check, cash or Visa/Mastercard.
A two-payment plan is available, but must be arranged before September 18. Please call the MYS office at 503-239-4566 to make arrangements.
Financial Aid
Need-based financial assistance is available. Financial aid applications for returning students and for those auditioining in June or August should be submitted by August 20. Applicants will be notified by August 25 as to the amount of assistance they will receive. The financial aid deadline for September applicants is September 10th; those students will be notified by September 15.
Commitment Deadline
Please return the commitment form with your payment by September 8th if you wish to play in MYS this year. This deadline will be extended for students who have not auditioned as of this date.
Refunds
A student who has paid in full and who withdraws from MYS by October 5th may request a 75% tuition refund. The request for refund must be received by this date. Pre-paid students who withdraw from MYS by December 1st may receive a 35% tuition refund, if the request is made by this date.
