MYS has the following attendance policy:MYS musicians may not miss more than 4 rehearsals per concert term, or more than 9 rehearsals for the entire season. Students missing more than that may be, and have been in the past, excused from the upcoming performance. Appeals will be heard, and a final decision will be made based on reasons for absence, dedication to MYS, musicianship, and instrumentation. Absence notification must be turned into the group manager on an absence form 2 weeks prior to the expected absence, whenever possible. Absence forms may be obtained from any group manager at the foyer table. If you encounter a last minute illness or emergency, still use this form. Your group manager will get it the next week. Do NOT use the MYS cell phone for absences. In case of an emergency on Saturday, you may call our cell, 503-708-7410. Enter the musician information and press 'submit'.
