MYS has the following attendance policy:

MYS musicians may not miss more than 4 rehearsals per concert term,
or more than 9 rehearsals for the entire season.
Students missing more than that will be excused from the upcoming performance.
Appeals may be heard, and a final decision will be made
based on reasons for absence,
dedication to MYS, musicianship, and instrumentation.
Absence notification must be turned into the group
manager on an absence form 2 weeks prior to the expected absence, whenever possible.
Absence forms may be obtained from any group manager
at the foyer table.
If you encounter a last minute illness or emergency,
still use this form. Your group manager will get it the next week.
